Recipe for sticky chinese chicken wings from Family Circle Magazine ?

As far as I know this recipe was posted in a September issue of Family Circle aroundabout 1990 to 1993Recipe for sticky chinese chicken wings from Family Circle Magazine ?
SERVES 5 -6





2 lbs chicken wings


2 tablespoons peanut oil


1/3 cup dark soy sauce


1 tablespoon honey


2 tablespoons Chinese wine or dry sherry


1 clove garlic, crushed


1/2 teaspoon finely grated fresh ginger





Cut wings into three pieces, discarding tips.


Heat oil in wok and fry the chicken joints on high heat for 3-4 minutes or until browned.


In pot, combine soy sauce, honey, wine, garlic and ginger,and simmer on low while stirring well. Add chicken pieces and cook about 30 minutes, stirring to make sure glaze does not burn..


Serve warm or at room temperature.
