Give me the recipe for good adobo chicken?

most recipes I've seen includes pork








basic recipe:





brown chicken and pork pieces, remove and set aside





add tons of onions to pan and brown and cook till becomes a thick brown paste





add chopped garlic and cook 5 mins more





add chicken and pork to onions and garlic





add chicken stock, soy sauce, red wine vinegar, thyme, bay leaves, tons of black pepper and worchesterishre sauce to taste








cook 30 mins over low heat





serve over white riceGive me the recipe for good adobo chicken?
Here is the one that we grew up with.





Adobo





3 1/2 lb chicken, cut up


Salt, pepper


1/2 c white vinegar


4 lg cloves garlic, peeled and crushed


3 T oil


1 med onion, sliced


1 1/4 oz whole mixed pickling spices


1/4 c canned tomato sauce


1/4 c Japanese soy sauce





Wash and dry chicken pieces. Place in casserole. Season to taste with salt and add vinegar. Rub chicken well with marinade.





Saute garlic in oil in Dutch oven until dark brown but not burned.


Discard garlic, retaining oil. Add onion to oil and cook until tender.


Add chicken pieces and marinade and stir to mix well. Cover and simmer over medium heat about 10 minutes.





Add pickling spices. Cover and simmer 10 minutes. Add tomato sauce and soy sauce. Cover and simmer until chicken is tender, about 25 minutes, stirring occasionally to coat chicken with juices. Makes 4 servings.Give me the recipe for good adobo chicken?
3 pounds skinless chicken breast


1/4 cup vinegar


1 tablespoon soy sauce


1 head garlic, crushed


8 whole peppercorns, crushed





Wash chicken. Cut chicken into serving pieces.





Add vinegar to chicken in 4 quart saucepan. Add soy sauce and rest of ingredients.





Do not stir chicken until it has started to boil. Cover and simmer chicken till cooked, approximately 30 to 45 minutes.





Add water, if necessary. Remove chicken. Fry some garlic in butter.





When browned, add chicken without liquid. Fry till browned. Add liquid and simmer for 5 to 10 minutes.

INGREDIENTS (Nutrition)


1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into 8 pieces


1/2 cup soy sauce


3/4 cup distilled white vinegar


1 bulb garlic, peeled and crushed


2 tablespoons thinly sliced fresh ginger root


2 bay leaves


1/2 tablespoon black peppercorns


DIRECTIONS


Combine the chicken, soy sauce, vinegar, garlic, ginger, bay leaves and peppercorns in a Dutch oven. Bring to a boil over medium heat. Once it boils, reduce heat to a simmer. Cover the pot and simmer for 30 minutes, basting the chicken occasionally. After 30 minutes, remove lid and cook until liquid has reduced to half.


Remove chicken from the pot to a serving plate. Strain the liquid from the pot to remove all the food particles, and set aside. Serve chicken hot over steamed rice and drizzle with reserved sauce.
